Today we received the formal blessings from H.E. Archbishop Benjamin Atas, as well as his call for support to all the members of the Syrian Orthodox Archdiocese of Sweden. We are humbled by this strong act of support for the project. Being the first church to come on board seems rather suitable given that the Convent of St Mark was founded 37 AD as the first monastery in Jerusalem.

From now on there is only one thing to do. Steam on and get the project flying. With a diocese, 80.000 members strong, we feel properly reinforced! Imagine if 80.000 people gave 100 SEK. Then the date for deciding ”GO – NOGO” would be a non issue…;-)
