Day 16 A day of rest and contemplation
Now I’m in the Norwegian Seaman’s Church where the Swedish priest Nisse and his wife lives. It’s placed on Ditmar Koel Straße. I will use the time here to produce some texts that you will be able to read in the blog, newsletter and some texts for the new press release. This I can do while my protesting left foot is getting
some well earned rest. The rest of me feels quite good but it’s a false feeling. My body is tired and needs to recover as well. It’s like a battery that isn’t charged properly. It works fine to start with but hasn’t got the power for the full day. I think two nights in Hamburg will do the trick.
I must tell you about breakfast in Reinfeld the other day. I was sitting there minding my own business when I heard from another table that they were speaking Swedish. And with an accent from my part of Skåne, the county I live in. So I excused myself for intruding in their breakfast and introduced myself. Then I learned that they came from a village just some 25 km from where I live and sure, they had read about me and my journey in the local newspaper! We talked for some time and it was so nice to hear my own language. They had loads of questions and we had a great conversation. So to you, Åke and Eva, Bengt and Ulla, thank you for a good breakfast in Reinfeld!
