Go slowly, come back quickly
What a special day! Today Jörgen started his pilgrimage from Lund’s cathedral heading towards Jerusalem.
Many friends joined him to wish him good luck and Godspeed on this once in a life time journey. Priest Per Arne Joelsson held a service in the Cathedral’s crypt. It was a very befitting place to be as the altar has a small hold for holy relics from Jerusalem brought to Lund by pilgrims from ages gone by. Jörgen also received his pilgrim letter. This is letter has a practical purpouse as in some countires he would be arrested for roaming the country side and the letter will prove, he is in fact a pilgrim.
On his first 20 km to Malmö his good friends from the territorial army group “Alpha Dogs” (nationella skyddsstyrkorna) Nord, Ivarsson, Bertilsson och Swanson joined him. At Malmö central station Rebecca met up again and went with Jörgen across on the train to give him one final runthrough of the tech stuff (and to make sure he was heading in the righ direction ;-))
Jörgen is now safe and sound at his first couchsurfing stop in Glostrup. Thank you Stefan Sverud for you hospitality!
Thank you everyone for making this day even better by wishing him good luck in person or by messages!
/A very very proud Rebecca
