Getting to Selongey was hard. 42 km! This is way too long when one travel like I do. The body can’t recover that kind of exhaustion without proper rest , and when you’re walking the next day as well the rest doesn’t come.

The French countryside roads are very narrow. There is nowhere to walk to get away from the traffic. And for some reason many of the French drivers have strong opinions about me being part of that traffic. It is really hard to meet all these very upset drivers. I have been thinking a lot about open mindedness, generosity and peoples ability to find there sense of compassion and friendship…:-(

After numerous near death experiences I finally reached Isabelle’s place. It was nice to be welcomed by a friendly and smiling face. Thank you Isabelle for a great stay!
